TTC is honored to share the prestigious nomination for the 2014 Global Mobile Award for Best Mobile Health Product or Service with all our partners involved in the Healthy Pregnancy, Healthy Baby Text Messaging Service in Tanzania. The service is currently the largest and one of the most successful interactive mobile health programs in Africa to date. TTC is the main technical partner for the service that continues to run on our sophisticated interactive Vusion system.
Research Africa is a market research agency focused on social impact in developing countries in East Africa using mobile technology. This social enterprise was set up by TTC in 2012 and has a reach across Africa and Latin-America. Research Africa is able to reach the ‘Bottom of the Pyramid’ (low-income people, living on or below $2 per day) who participate in incentive-based surveys and, as such, creates new economic opportunities for individuals in emerging countries and markets. Main focus of Research Africa campaigns to date was impact & effectiveness measurements, M&E surveying and market research for a range of partners and products.
In December 2013 Savana Signatures and TTC launched a Sexual Health Education (SHE) project in Ghana. The goal is to educate young people about sexual and reproductive health and their rights. TTC’s platformVusion allows people between 15-25 years in the north of Ghana (Tamale-region) to register and access information via their mobile phones. TTC helps Savana Signatures connecting with their target group, by providing mobile solutions from A to Z. TTC supported SavSign in close cooperation to develop content, the design of the program and promotion and marketing materials.
TTC is part of the collaborative program Health[e]Families. Within this program in Rwanda, TTC will reach out to at least 7500 families through text messages and inform them where, when and how to seek appropriate care and acces to skilled healthcare staff for mothers and newborns.
