Dutch Prime Minister meets with social entrepreneurs

Last week TTC’s co-founder Hajo van Beijma was honored to meet Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

Social Enterprise NL and the World Economic Forum Global Shapers organized a lunch meeting with Mark Rutte and seven social entrepreneurs at the Catshuis (the Prime Minister’s residence) to talk and brainstorm about social entrepreneurship.

The motive for this meeting was Rutte’s appreciation for social entrepreneurs last year:

“People whom connect business with social goals. Initiatives that support themselves and must make a profit. (..) That delivers three times profit. For the entrepreneur. For this group of workers, who not only earn a paycheck, but also grow in self-esteem. And for the state and society.“
